Nintendo: dominance in the Japanese market in the first half

Nintendo is the most successful publisher in the first half of 2013 on the Japanese market. This is proven software sales, which were published in the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu. Thus, Nintendo was able to sell about 5.19 million games on the Japanese market in the first half of 2013. In second place Namco Bandai follows with 3.48 million games sold. Especially Nintendo 3DS games sell very well in the Japanese market.

Nintendo is by far the most successful game publishers in the first half of 2013 - at least in Japan. As the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu reported, Nintendo has sold on the Japanese market in the first half of 2013, 5.19 million games. It all games for 3DS, Wii U, Wii and Nintendo DS were added. The best-selling game in the first half of 2013 was Animal Crossing: New Leaf with nearly 1.37 million units. This is followed by the Nintendo 3DS games Dragon Quest VII and Tomodachi Collection.

Second best publisher of software sales in the first half year in Japan, Namco Bandai sold at 3.48 million players in front with 2.48 million Square Enix games. While games are not only tracked for Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U stuff sold in the fewest games, like the Sony PSP and PS Vita handheld. On the Wii U New Super Mario Bros. U ended up with 140,000 units in the first half of 2013, Nintendo Country (in Japan not available in the bundle) with 110,000 units sold and Dragon Quest X with 70,000 units.
